IN India as per UGC Act 1956, the right of granting or conferring degrees shall be exercised only by a university established or incorporated by or under either a central act or a state act or an institution deemed to be university or an institution specially empowered by an act of parliament to confer or grant degrees, Similarly, no institution other than a university established or incorporated by under a Central Act or a State Act shall be entitled to have a word "University" associated with its name in any matter whatsoever.
This law was framed to maintain higher standards in higher education in India; the mushroom growth of unrecognized universities/fake universities/institutions is a matter of great concern of the University Grants Commission.
In India UGC has come to notice that some unrecognized fake universities/ fake institutions are offering undergraduate/post graduate courses in various subjects without the proper approval of the concerned statutory councils. We at Bharath results try to give list of fake universities or unrecognized universities in India time to time which are functioning in contravention of the provisions of the UGC Act for the benefit of students. The below mentioned institutions list is declared as fake universities and do not have any right to confer or grant degrees.
