1. Student should be passes XII from any recognized Central / State board of secondary examination.
2. Intermediate science or two-year pre-university examination conducted by a recognised board.
3. Any Public School/Board/University exam in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system
4. Final examination of the two year course of the Joint Service Wing of the National Defence Academy.
5. Age should not be more than 17 to 25 years.
6. For admission to B Tech and 5 years Dual degree in Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, candidate must have had Biology or Life Sciences as a subject in the qualifying examination (10+2 level).
7. General Certificate Education Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
8. Pass grade at the time of applying for JEE in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by National Open School with a minimum of five subjects 8. 3 or 4 year diploma recognised by AICTE or a state board of technical education.
